The Hanson family got into the outpost business in the 1930’s with many people interested in the canoe routes to the east of Crow Lake, paddled hundreds of years ago by the voyageurs.
Today our fly-in locations offer not only some of the best fishing you will ever experience, but also first-class cabins with all the comforts you would expect from the best. At each location, your cabin is the only one on the lake, so the peace and quiet and closeness to nature is worth the trip alone.
All cabins are equipped with solar water and lighting systems, hot running water and shower and two way radio communication to ensure your added safety.
All our fly-in outposts are catch and release fishing with the ability to keep enough smaller fish for shorelunch while you are there. If you catch a trophy, take a picture, measure it and put it back in the water. A graphite replica can then be made and your trophy will still be swimming around to bite on your children’s and grandchildren’s hooks.
All lakes are equipped with modern aluminum boats with backrests and 6HP and 8HP Yamaha motors (none over two years old), and lots of gas in our shed for your trip. Kayaks and/or canoes are also available at each location for your paddling enjoyment.
